LMMS crashes when preview sound samples

First of all...a nice peace of artwork....LMMS
But....I think there's something wrong with my settings..
This is what happens:

I've installed LMMS 0.4.15.
When I start creating a song and try to put in a song from the sidebar "My samples" to get a preview sound, example clap01.ogg, I receive
the error from Microsoft that there's an error has occured and has to been closed.
Tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report.....etc.
Unfortunaly I can't show you the report that has been generated.
The only thing I have is :

AppName: lmms.exe Appver:0.4.15.0 Modname: libvorbis-0.dll
Modver: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0001e34e

My Pc has following configuration :

OS : Windows XP Home Edition 5.1
Processor : AMD Athlon MMX 1.1Ghz
Memory : 512MB RAM
DirectX 9.0
Soundcard : Realtek AC97audio Driver :ALCXWDM.SYS (I've put this into Settings for SDL (found this into your forum)

Here's your problem. 0.4.15 was released a long, long, long... long, long time ago.

Get a newer version. 1.1.3 will probably do the trick.

Do not do that!
De-install and remove everything.
0.4.15 is very inferior and unstable compared with current off. release 1.1.3
from here:

It was indeed the older version that wasn't working.
After uninstalling the older version and installed the 1.1.3 everything runs smoother but.....some dll's waren't working properly, so I had to download them and put them into the root folder of LMMS, after I backuped the original ones.
(had the "Microsoft" error again)
The files were : libvorbis-0.dll libvorbisfile-3.dll and libsamplerate-0.dll

This is just for your info if somebody else must encounter the same prob.

Nevertheless.....up to make some noiseeeeeeeeeeeee in da house

That sounds strange, 1.1.3 does support XP in full afair.
But you got it to work, so it is good now
