LMMS freezes and crashes

This is very annoying. Each time I open a VST, any VST, LMMS does not respond or takes a lot of time to respond. I have to close, then open again. It will open the VST after 2 or 3 times of trying.

Is this a new problem?

The last version. And I have not verified the compatibility of the VST, however, I saw a video on YouTube where a guy used it to make a melody on LMMS. I have noticed, when you open a project, it is a bit slow, when you save or export a melody, it is slow as well.

What is the name of the Vst you are using?
Is it Indian Dreamz?

Wow! Now why doesn't this surprise me?
It could be of a small bug in Lmms that other Lmms users have spoken about.
Some Vst's also freeze other DAW's like FL Studio too. Probably because of some coding, bugs in both softwares, or incompatabilty issues.
In my case, It works well in Win 64 bit.
But it sometimes freezes Lmms 0.4.13 64 Bit when you try to open a saved project file. And that sucks.
My suggestion to you: Is to make your melody with the Dsk Indian DreamZ Vst. Export it as a Wav or ogg. (your choice.)
Then bring in you Wav or ogg. Indian melody in a separate, new Project file.
It'll save you the hassle of a Vst freezing Lmms, or taking long to load and be way less trouble for you too.
By the way, I forgot to ask before. What OS are you using? And is the computer you're using a 64 Bit or a 32 Bit?

Windows Vista 32 bit. Yes, I got the issue on saving projects and when opening the VST again. Why they don't correct these bugs if they are persisting since a long time? its very annoying, i have a sitar VST, and it opened the first time fine, then give me errors after each time i open it. So sad, LMMS..

erm.. its not lmms, its dsk. you need to understand that the way some vsts is build, does not compli to the standards. It is still possible to 'make' the vsts, and thats in many ways boths a strength and a weaknes in steinbergs vsts model, but it is in no way fair to blame this on lmms.
If you have an issue with a vsts that is NOT on the positive-list, then you have a vsts thats flawed. not lmms but the vst.
Synth1 is an advanced vst that runs perfectly with lmms, that should always be the reference when you tests for issues with lmms and vsts

Can someone here recommended me a good VST piano, pad, violin, and drum?

Well,...you can try the ones at DSK instruments, for all of the above pads, instruments or sounds.
I recommend Dsk Etheral PadZ, or Dsk Odisea for Spacey sounding PadZ.
Or, for the piano, you can try mda piano.
Or if you want to get more indepth, you can use the presets in ZynaddsubFX, which comes with Lmms. And tweak as much as you like. There is a Piano preset, pads and other instruments too.
Careful with ZynaddsubFX. Once you learn how to use it, it becomes addictive.
Hope that helps. Enjoy.
