Awhile back I moved the folder titles "my beats" that contained like 50 beats to a larger folder called hip hop stuff to clean up my desktop. After I did that I could no longer play any of them. Each sample I used is still there and recorded. The beats are still there and playing they are just all silent. If i go back to a project and find the same file and re input that sample or audio file I used into the project, then copy and paste it works fine. But I used a lot of samples for each project and that would take so long to do.. Please someone help me.
I wont beat you over the head, but that is risky.Songswontplay wrote:Awhile back I moved the folder titles "my beats" that contained like 50 beats to a larger folder called hip hop stuff to clean up my desktop.
YesAfter I did that I could no longer play any of them.
I wish i could, but i cant. The thing is, you have moved your sound-files away from the relative associations in your installation.Please someone help me.
We plan to do something against this 'one day', but currently moving or deleting parts of the installation is really disruptive.
You need to recreate the -folder- structure you used to have. The folders does not need to have the same content, but the folders must be in the same relative positions, as they were before you made changes to your installation.
Another option is to
* Backup all your own stuff -Make dead sure you got everything!
* remove LMMS from your pc
* re-install LMMS again
* Take all your own stuff and put it back in bulk in the folders you like to have
This may be simpler, but if you forget something it is lost, so maby a whole backup to a USB before remove, then you are sure/ secure
Besides that, since you are new here
