Tempo Locking with MIDI files

I am currently working on an arrangement for Kingdom Hearts 2 and I noticed that when I speed up the tempo from 65 to 95, then press play, it reverts back to 65. How can I get that to stop happening?

That often happens with imported MIDI files that contain their own timing information. Try right click on the BPM window then "Remove song-global automation". That usually allows you to change the tempo.
