is there any way to play samples from mid-through?

hello, I just wrote a post but it seems to have disappeard..

I have an audio sample that I recorded in Audacity, and I loaded into LMMS. I want to add some digital synths to it. problem is though that the sample won't play unless I play the whole thing from the beginning. this is getting a bit tedious as I approach the end of the sample, since it's kinda long..

is there anyway to make the sample play even if the playhead starts at say, halfway through?

thanks in advance

karl

If you open the sample in an "Audio File Processor" (instrument plugins) you can dial in the start and stop spots.

thanks, I know, but I don't see how that will help me? I still can't go back and forth with the playhead and have the sample play from that place so to speak. maybe the thing I'm looking for is called audio scrubbing?
