You have good instruments, and the vibe and mix is fine. I can totally understand the creative idea behind the crackle in the first part, but for those who does not know the desciption, they will just think 'bad sound' I think it need 'more' like a transition from a serious highpass with crackle, and then gradually to open-filter without the crackle, then the old-timer record vibe is amplified, and the crackle will be artistic -Just imo.
I dont get that cataclysmic feeling of facing Smaug or another of its kind, more 'umpf' is needed for that

Wow! I don't know what to say. But this is really good.
I read the short description, that describes the title too. Very interesting.

Nice to see we're getting some more, orchestral type music these days, from a few users.
It's been a while, since we heard some.

Thanks! I think LMMS can do really good orchestral music... hopefully I'll get there soon

All it takes is finding the right instruments, maybe a few good VSTs or soundfonts, and some skilled note placement to really get a good sound. I figured out that GeneralUser GS has a "Full Orchestra" sound in its sound banks, which really helped with some of my more recent pieces.
