Specific Song Tutorial

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
pretty new to this forum ,,

,, I was wondering if people do tutorials to a specific song suggestion to help with figuring out certain sounds and techniques.

If so here's a pretty quick song that I'm trying to get some information on how to make something similar.

Thanks,,
Hmmm... There's a few techniques going on here, nothing mind blowing though....
I'm not a musician by any means, but I broke it down to:

A. slow release on syth. (Attack)
B. grounding samples and giving them weight (Reverb/Delay)
C. detuning (Detune or Detuning)
D. Automation (Automation)

A. For an inbuilt synth, (let's say "BitInvader" or "TripleOscilator"), you can get that build up by clicking on the synth and going to "ENV/LFO" and playing with "attack" (while in "volume", which is default)... maybe play with the other knobs.

B. Add delay and reverb to the sound channels.

C. If you open up the piano roll, you will find a "detune" button... it looks like pointy cat ears... It works with samples.

D. Look up "Automation" for LMMS... it's not complicated, but I'll probably explain it wrong via text.

I hope that helps.
Thanks, defineitly helped.

I am trying to figure out how to make the whiney type of synth lead used in this song also with the oscillator so if you have any tips on that it would be great.

That is a portamento lead, in LMMS you have porta in zasfx and LB302, but most VSTs has porta. For zasfx you will need to change the deep settings, in order to get that slow whailing porta. I made a tut on just how to that:

You can also use pitchshift, either on notes or the instrument, but that is going to take a lot of work
