Does anyone know how to convert the projects that we make on LMMS to mp3 or wav or something other than .mppz if so that would be great!

LMMS can convert to 2 formats- wave, that you asked for, and oggForbis that resembles mp3 in compression, but is a free open standard.
You cant make an mp3.
To convert your project to a sound-file as wave use 'export' in the menu:
Project| export| <choose wave> enter a name & folder, and choose save

To add to what musik said, I'd like to put my :twocents: in:

I use Audacity for tweakage (latest version has a clip indicator which is <3 when I want the most out of my wimpy files).
You can import .wav files into Audacity and use LAME to export them as mp3's.
