Adding an Effect

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
OK, I have recorded a Vocal and copied the Wav file into the Samples folder. And I added a Sample track.
I want it Very simple. I don't want any instruments, just maybe an Effect. I just don't know what.
Any suggestions as to adding a simple effect?
If so, please give me the next FEW steps on how to do this.To listen to some effects and decide if I want one and how to apply it. I am a Novice.

Yes, maybe you could add a subtle reverb. That will always make a voice have more 'volume' -Think Elvis, he always had reverb on his voice, famously some of his best known tracks, was recorded in a bathroom!
LMMS has some great reverb-plugins The C*Plate2*2 is really good.
The controls are rather simple
BW sets what part of the spectrum is most affected -Leave that as is
Tail : How much 'ring' you will have if you imagine your sound is a bell
Blend : Most influence: dont overdo but experiment, and then you can kind of 'compress' the sound again with the Dampning dial
You could also try a stereo-widener In LMMS we call that plugin StereoEnhancer. That will create a 'broader' soundscape -like the sound comes from 'everywhere' -And the controls are quite simple : One dial :)

Tto add the effect(s) to your project, Open Sample-track with your imported wave-file, and click on Add-effect
Image Type the characters of the name of your wanted effect -like "C*Pla" -LMMS smart-token.search will diplay the correct effect-options -That is a super feature!
Then highligt the effect and press OK
LMMS alsp automatically opens the controls for the effect!
Set the The green diode (picture) ON
Then start replay, and turn the dials
