I think your trap-beat is just as fine as others. Problem is - I get serious unnerved after even seconds of trap :p
Iow, i am definitely not the right one to ask to listen to trap, but now i bumped it up, and lets see if someone that likes this genre, will chime in

This sounds nice.
And it even has a nice, drum and bass type sound style, to it too.
When it comes to making trap music, the best person to ask on this forum, is an Lmms user called Leche.
He makes alot of Trap and DnB type music.

What I do is set the Q to 1/64 then put them as close as they can possibly be.

I like the hihat pattern here. I make some beats like this too if you need any advice
