Is there a problem with the latest win 64 0.4.14 version. It seems that when an instrumented is selected to play with a midi keyboard the program freezes and has to be rebooted only for the same condition to return when trying to activate the external midi keyboard again. This problem is not present with the 0.4.13 version. Hope someone can help.

Yes, this is a known bug. Happens when Sf2player, Vestige or ZynAddSubFX are connected to MIDI input. Should be fixed in 0.4.15, which will be coming out soon-ish.

Hi,

I found out, thadt this only occurs with some *.sf2 files and not all. (iam using Vista 64+SP2 + all Updates and Hotfixes patched upto present Day.
So my trick is simply trial and Error the *.sf2 Files (most works, some let lmms freeze) An other Method thadt works for me is using the famous Kontakt
Highend Sampler (non-free) from Native Instruments wich sometimes load and sometimes doesnt. Kontakt is the Industrie Flagship of an Non Linear Sampler
wich is today Standard in most Studios Worldwide and is a bit more advanced then the famous Apple/Emagic EXS24 (wich only runs on Macs) wich was long years the King in this Area without competition.

Nowdays all the Famous Sound Banks/Libs are made for Kontakt. So i encourage you to give it a shot, because there is an non-free but free to download
and usable "Player" Version wich you can download after registration for free. http://www.native-instruments.com/de/pr ... -download/ (434 MBytes big) (this is only the Samplke Plugin)

To get some nice 50 Instruments for free download also the http://www.native-instruments.com/de/pr ... -download/ The Player Factory Settings.

Info on Kontakt Player V5 It load now without crashes.

Update:And you can load all your *sf2 Soundfonts file within Kontakt5

Anyone find a work-around for this? I use the soundfont FluidR3, and it's one of the fonts that does not work with version 14's midi glitch...I'd really like to be able to use version 14 though because I've been waiting for the added midi pedal support.

P.S. I do have Kontakt 5 but for my soundfont it reverts to demo mode and doesn't let me record the way I'd like to.

I have the same problem with projects that were saved while having soundfonts/instruments being linked to an external MIDI keyboard. Removing the link under the MIDI tab and saving the projects again won't solve the issue. It still freezes when I try to re-link the external MIDI keyboard.

This problem still hasn't been fixed in version 15...any ideas? I'm sticking with 13 since I really need my midi keyboard support with sf2's, but the midi pedal support in versions 14-15 really makes me drool...
