Audio recording...thought that it would already be in this

Not trying to sound at all like a smart aleck in the title of this forum, but the type of program this is made it seem to me a pretty safe assumption that you could record your own audio within the program itself, and not just being able to record MIDI. I have tried a few other programs serving the same purpose this was meant to, and all of them supported recording audio, normally and during playback. I feel that this is one very important feature that is missing in its entirety. I do understand that there are buttons that serve as placeholders for these features, (link to a post on my initial thread regarding this) but I am not too sold on completely non-functional parts of the UI in much of anything. Out of curiosity, I am leaving a poll wanting to see how much other people want this feature to be included, and whatever is done with the numbers is something I don't really care about (unless it is being used to defame people or anything like that...I felt I needed to put that legal notice in there to turn off a few from that crowd).
