Latest Version?

I'm using LMMS version 1.1.3. I'm experiencing CPU hits at times, and wonder if I should install a later version? But when I click on the Install button on the LMMS, I get message that package is already installed. Do I have the latest version?

Yes 1.1.3 is latest official release. Several 'bughunt' PRs for 1.2.0 exists, and it should be 'safe' to use, but there are issues with many thing. One that could ruin projects, is a fail in copied automation-tracks AT. I believe that one is the most 'dangerous' bug i have found in the PR, because those bugged ATs wont work when the Off 1.2.0 is out

The cpu goes crazy with my test project of orchestral music. 16 tracks, but I've only loaded GPO on 9, up to the tuba. When the problem happens. not only will GPO not play, but the General User inst. won't either. Just get that scratchy noise thing. It will settle at some point, and then all the insts. will play. I suspect it may be instability in Zorin. I'm going to install another distro and see how it goes. I'm thinking maybe Ubuntu 14 or 16, or perhaps KX or even AV.
