Lmms not opening on screen, but shows up in task manager

So, I'm new to the forums, but not entirely new to using LMMS. I used LMMS for a month or two, then uninstalled and re-installed because I messed up and had projects in odd places. So after re-installing it, it wont open at all. No start menu or anything, save for the thing that pops up where it asks you about a directory path or whatnot. It does however show up in my task manager after clicking on it. I know my computer can handle it, but have no idea how to go about this. Any help welcome. Sorry for sending y'all the virtual wall of china btw.
