I am new to LMMS, recently downloaded the 4.15 64bit version. Unfortunately I can't get Vestige to load any VSTs.

"The VST-plugin C:/Program Files/LMMS/PLUGIN.dll could not be loaded for some reason.
If it runs with other VST-software under Linux, please contact an LMMS-developer!"

I am running Windows 7 on a 64bit

I tried downloading the 32 bit 4.15 version but had the same problem
Also tried downloading the 4.13 32 bit version, but again same problem

do you follow the advices from the wiki?
Add the Vestige instrument from the toolbar on the left
Browse to the VST or VSTi plugin from the instrument plugin window.
Only the .dll and .exe formats are supported.
Wait for the VST to load. This may take a while or appear to crash LMMS when using the biggest VST plugins, but be patient!
this is how to load a saved (changed/ customized) vsts from your own collections:
on the sidebars 1. option, drag an empty VSTige container into your project. Open the GUI (eg click on it in the song-editor). It should open the default GUI. That makes it the "Active Instrument". The existing VST-preset-instrument should be in the myPresets collection. Open myPresets (sidebar 4. button) and browse for the instrument and right-click on it. In the context-menu, choose: "Send to Active Instrument Track" Wait for LMMS to finish. If all went well LMMS opens the VST-GUI and your saved VST-instrument is ready for use.
try that

My problem seems to be when I browse and click the plugin. I click a .dll file and then I get that error message.

so you have dragged a an empty VST-preset in from the sidebar -and when you click the folder icon on that preset, you get an error??

I have not seen that happend, and it is really hard to gues why - one reason however could be that you have used uni-charachters some where in your install -yes??
You can only use ascii, and that is true for the whole installation of anything that lmms uses -its a linux-thing....

let me know if you fix it
