Hi BrandyStarbrite (is it okay if I just call you Brandy? LOL),

I was messing around with LMMS this evening trying to come up with a melody for some new lyrics I'm writing and stumbled across something that may help you w/your projects. It's not necessarily specific to LMMS (like plug-ins or "oscilators" or whatever) but more a general music thing that I kind of discovered by accident.

See, I have some great percussion loops (like in my song on the "salsa time" post) but the melody has always been a bit tricky. The reason being, as a piano/keyboard player I tend to think more about what the keyboard is doing than the others; but in salsa the keyboard is basically a rhythm instrument and not melody at all. So just for the heck of it, I created a song with just the trumpets and trombones, then added the other stuff later. What I found was I had a song with a melody that was more than just a combination of rhythms and chords. By letting the brass section "lead" the song, the project was a lot easier to turn into a full-length song. Still a WIP but I hope to put it into the "salsa time" post when it's done.

So my suggestion for you would be, pick an instrument(s) that is your "lead" or high priority, start with that one and work your way down (filling in all the stuff you've got down later). That way, the hardest part is over and the all you have to do is add the stuff you already know how to do well. Like for me, it's easy to figure out what the keyboard would do to accompany the brass, but the other way around is sooo much harder. So maybe prioritizing all those instruments you create will help move things along smoother. Just thought I'd put it out there. :D
Did you say "original instruments" - as in you "invent" your own instruments? That sounds a billion times harder than trying to master VSTI plug-in's. How does that work, creating your own instruments?
Nah!! :D It's not as hard as you think. The greatest challenge is to get your "custom made Synth" to sound "exactly the way you hear it in your head." Which can be frustrating.

Well the sad part is, that the special synth custom sounds are the leads of the song. That's why I'm taking so long to start or complete my songs.
Okay. So I'm "learning over" how to make a Trance Bassline.
And I'm redoing some of the stuff in my Music. Because I don't like how certain things in my music sound.
I'm stuck 40% or midway in one of my main Trance Tracks, which strangely sounds like a Mix of Rave and Trance.
That wasn't intended, I'm shocked, but it sounds really "Awesomely RAD!" 8-)
I'm surprised it turn out this way. Neat!

I'm trying to make a Bass instrument Synth that can be "Multi purpose."
But getting it to sound "exactly the way I want it is the Main Problem."
I don't wanna make a Super Saw Bass Synth for these tracks. Hmm.............

Well the more Bass Synths I make the Merrier. :D

Hmmmm..................GREEN PLANET..........
Okay. So I'm learning to make Ambient pad style notes using Triple oscillator. And it was a success. I can't believe it was so easy. I still have alot of work to go, before they sound exactly like how I want them to sound.
Wow! I can't believe my theory on making these notes was correct all this time. I gotta stop doubting myself. That is so bad.

I also gotta thank "orpheon7" for his cool demo. It really helped alot too. I finally got to understand the other detuner buttons( not the coarse detuners) a bit better too. :D
But I understand Coarse Detuner buttons a good while now.

It seems I got a lot of work cut out for me.

I think my biggest obstacle right now.........is to "record vocals when people are around me at home." I need privacy. Waaah!!
