LMMS won't recognize my sf2 file

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Completely new user here. I installed LMMS successfully on W10, start it, go to General Settings, Paths, Default Sound file, click on icon on right, get file directory Choose Default Sound Font, box on left says SoundFont2 files (*.sf2), point it to a folder on my computer called Soundfonts which has a file (I'm copying in its exact name here)

Arachno SoundFont - Version 1.0.sf2

but the LMMS file directory says No items match your search. The file shows up fine in my Windows directory. I am NOT pointing to the wrong directory. So what is wrong? Thanks for any advice.
You need to refresh the directory by either hitting the refresh button (to the right of the search field) or restarting lmms.

About LMMS > Edit > Setting > Paths > Default Soundfont file :

On https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LMMS_Settings, it says:

"The Default Soundfont file is the default SoundFont file that will be used when importing MIDI files."

Is that what you want to do?
Do you want to specify which .sf2 will be used to play an imported MIDI partition?

In this case, the path must specify the .sf2, for example:

C: / Users / YourName / lmms / YourSoundFontsFolder / Arachno SoundFont - Version 1.0.sf2

Does that correspond to what you have done?

I have never imported a MIDI partition, I don't know if this function is operational.

EDIT: I had not seen the intervention of zonkmachine ...
Thanks for the responses. After some experimentation I found that the problem apparently is that LMMS can't deal with file names that have spaces in them. Renaming the sound font file to one without spaces makes it work.
Glad you got it going but it's a bit odd because I have no problem using that soundfont with LMMS 1.1.3 on either Win7 or Win10 using it's original filename, spaces included.

- It looks like you have found a solution to the sf problem. however i would recommand General-User-sf as default sf. That will give you the best midi-import results
