Hey guys. Here's this month's track, Torpid:

This one started with me trying to find some 'pretty chords'. I don't know much about music theory so it was fun trying to figure out what the chords I was coming up with were. Anyway, hope y'all like it!

Finally :D

Lol, the intro in reverse mode.

Nice atmosphere, it looks like a recording done in a lively place.
Well, it contrasts with the cover illustration. You live near the ocean?
What is the meaning of the title?

I like the bass line. I find that the melody adds a bit of optimism, or joy, or something "positive" compared to synths that sound more "melancholic".

Is this a really new track, or a fairly old that you have finalized?

It was a trick I had never done, so I went for it. :)

The title comes from the fact that the track doesn't have the dramatic changes that a lot of my tracks do, it just keeps going and changing slightly. It reflected well my mood this past month too.
I live somewhat near the ocean. It's still a bus trip away though.
The picture and the recording are from different days and places. But they're near.

It's a new track, I started it this past month.
I agree with you about the bassline. It does add something positive to the track. At one point I considered changing it and making it darker, but I decided against it. I started to like the contrast with the synths which I eventually drown in effects. hahah

:)
I also like the movement you add in the background sample, it numbs a little.

Wow dude! This is one beautiful lovely tune.

And that stuttering effect, that comes in around 1:50 secs
adds quite an interesting feel to it too.

Yes, that's a pitchshifter I assigned to a knob on my keyboard. It was quite fun to mess with it.

Thanks, Brandy!
That's was also done with knobs, this time with a tremolo effect.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!
