Beat/Bassline Editor Design/Function Philosophy Question

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi! Quite new to LMMS and am enjoying what is a terrific resource.

I am curious though as to why the BB editor is designed in such a way that through the addition of multiple BB tracks in the song editor window, each one of these tracks is linked? For example, muting the kick in the BB the editor window for track 0 mutes the kick for BB tracks 1 and 2 as well. The LMMS wiki simply has a warning it is this way and to clear steps or context mute specific instruments. This doesn't address, say, the desire to increase the length of the kick for one beat, while leaving it default in the other tracks using the same instrument. This also leads to a fairly cluttered BB editor window eventually.

Wouldn't it be better if each new BB track in the song editor window came with its own unique BB editor window, rather all tracks being linked, and thus incapable of supporting discrete instrument groupings and fx/eq settings? It is a surprising source of frustration. Why is it designed this way? I feel I may be able to work around this design flaw if I understood why it was this way in the first place. What are folks' workarounds with this issue, or am I simply thinking about working with multiple BB tracks in a problematic way?

Any suggestions would be most helpful. I apologize for the length and if this question has already been answered. I have been unable to uncover a specific answer through searches of the forum or general search engine. I figure a lot of people have encountered this issue. Thanks for any guidance/links! As much as answers, I'm looking to hear folks' thoughts on this specific function and the philosophy behind it. Maybe it's more significant to me than to most? I really don't know. I'm fairly new to DAWs generally, so I didn't have a set of expectations going into LMMS.
Hello,

It is the normal way.
When you mute a track it means that you mute the instrument/plugin , not the notes it plays but the instrument sound itself.

I think the bb is ther to allow you vary the notes you can play with an instrument along your song , it avoids you to duplicate an instrument for each vatiation you need in the song.

Think that you mute your instrument, not its notes ;)

It is like mixing real instruments with a deck for ex.

I can understand your thoughts, but the BeatBass-editor works quite good, with the 3 strategies described in WIKI

-Imo the best strategy is the Plan C. I like to think of that like a LEGO-principle, where tiny blocks has gazillions of ways to be combined, meaning that your percussion can be vivid and variated.
