LMMS will not install

Hello there,

I'm new to LMMS and only just found out it exists. I want to try it out but it won't install. It will download. It opens the wizard and everything seems normal. I installs and says it's done. But when i search for lmms in my search bar (next to windows icon in my screen), I can only find the wizard. Please help.

First i MUST know if you got your installer from OUR site
Eg HERE

If you did NOT, then the installer may be bogus, and install malware or virus on your computer

So that is ABSOLUTELY extremely important!

If not you have to run anti virus/malware/spyware, because then someone has tricked into installing a fake lmms!

But.. i hope that is NOT the case..
IF you got your LMMS-installer from our off. site https://lmms.io/download#windows then follow this:

Open
C:\Program Files
There you have a folder named LMMS
Open that folder
In the folder you have a file with a green icon LMMS.exe
Right-click on that file, and choose create-short-cut
Drag this short-cut out on your desk-top
You will now be able to start LMMS from that short-cut
