LMMS Instruments Problem

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi there!

I'm a new user of LMMS and I installed the Aspen Trumpet 2 VST Plugin. For some reason, when I strike a note on my Piano Keyboard, It registers the Trumpet sound, and at the same time, the default Piano Roll sound. Is there any way I can fix this?

Thank you!

Welcome to the lmms forum GeneralFlipHax.

That sounds like a bug. Close the project, close lmms, then re-open lmms. Then, reload the vst plugin. Tell us if the same problem occurs, or has stopped.

Yes that is a MIDI-keyboard issue.
depending on mark and version, you should have a button that mutes the MIDI-keyboard own default sound (piano) when it is used with a DAW. If you do not have that type of mute-button, you need to turn down the MIDI-keyboards internal volume slider to 0.
The signals to LMMS should still be send, and LMMS -and your pc, should still play the VST-output.
Read the manual for your MIDI-keyboard.
