Windows Defender flagging 2 LMMS files as viruses

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
:!: When I access the download folder, 2 files keep getting flagged as viruses! I don't know which files these are, I am a lower level user account and my mum installed it for me! She should allow these threats because I know they are maybe important LMMS files! :!: By the way, the virus flags are ScreenMate and InstallCore.

To prevent this, I have started moving files i need to get from my downloads folder to the lmms folders they go in, but the alert is still there. Protection history.

Where did you download LMMS from? Which version of LMMS did you download?
The 1.2.2 downloaded from lmms.io does not throw this virus error. What antivirus scanner did you use? This shouldn't happen.
Get your LMMS HERE: https://lmms.io/download
and not anywhere else.
Can you show us a screenshot of your problem?

It's from that website, quite confusing right? I used windows defender too. I got 1.2.2 by the way.
Also, it freezes when it gets detected as a virus/PUP.
I tried to extract the .exe file on Linux, although I doubt serious the LMMS download site to be infected.

When I how ever googled, ScreenMate and InstallCore, we learn something.

Its malware:
InstallCore is Malwarebytes' detection name for a family of bundlers that installs more than one application on the user's computer, usually by combining a popular title with one or more adware programs

Now don't panic, keep breathing.

Are you sure you downloaded LMMS from the official page as linked by musicbear ?

Its been a while I used any virus/mallware scanner, but you need one.

Maybe its better if a windows user suggest a good free one.

You could try AVG.

Maybe uninstall it after your pc is clean, and make sure to only install the stuff you need.
Maybe it's in another file. LMMS official download does NOT have these files. Having tested with Windows Defender, I can confirm I get no flags. Run a full scan on your computer, clean out any viruses, THEN install it. This should not be happening.
The virus isn't in LMMS, so it could be elsewhere. By any chance do you have any other antivirus scanner?
Absurd.

Just as Both GPS and Monospace i has scanned all our current releases.
They are Clean
There are no malware at all in LMMS!
What you have is most likely a rootkit, that install the malware in any installation you attempt to make.
You need to do a complete scanning of your system!
What antivirus do you have installed?
