Any guides on getting Carla/Wine for LMMS?

Howdy! Apologies for the vague question coming up.

Windows 10 user. I'm wanting to use Carla or something like it to load a standalone audio plugin into LMMS, but I'm not very tech savvy and admittedly intimidated by what I have found by looking into it myself.

Are there any suggested guides/etc. that I should check out for this?

What exactly do you mean by " a standalone audio plugin "?
LMMS natively support VST2 through Vestige!
What is the plugin you want to use?

Carla has a windows version, but as far as I know, it cant do all the Linux version can do.

I am a Linux user, so you probably better follow the advice from musikbear.

If you really want to use Carla, I would advice to install Linux.
There are a few music making specific distro, that give you an easy way to install Carla.

I would advice against compiling it your self.

Assuming your happy with Windows, don't use Carla.
