I really would like you to try and experiment with the settings before i just give you a preset. You will use this a lot, and getting know the sound and how the setting in the envelope changes, is very important.

You should have GeneralUser as default SF. GeneralUser gives you all the std sound that is part of your sound-card, it is the MIDI-standard for sound-cards, so GeneralUser is absolutely the one to use as default-soundfont. It even has a Shamisen and Koto build in!
To do that, go into Edit|Settings as here

Third from bottom, You have the option for Default-soundfont, just use the smart-search and point to the location of your GeneralUser.

Alright, I'll try to do it on my own as you've said. I've also just finished watching the video - really informative of what it showed. I just have two questions before I start working on it on my own: What do each of the abbreviations stand for when I open up the Vibeb instrument? I don't wanna accidentally mess with the wrong settings for it and mess up the instrument I am trying to recreate with your help. Secondly, in the "Envelope, filter & LFO" section, which row would I mainly be altering, or would it be both?

Its not because i wont help you, but if you give this a try on your own, you will learn about making presets, and that is much better that having a preset made for you.
The controllers on Vibed are described ... ehrm... No they are not..

It sounded really good from when I used it - though I still wanna try handcrafting it on my own. Also, that is completely understandable. If I wanna make my own preset, it is a lot better to do it on my own instead of being handheld all the way. As mentioned before, I will try to do it on my own before I ask for help again. I was just unsure of what the initials stand for and what knobs to mainly adjust.

Edit: Okay, I am slightly getting close to the first one for Honchoushi. Currently, I need to figure out how to affect the pitch of Vibed a bit but have no idea which knob does that. Will look into that.

Unfortunately Vibed is one of the few plugins that does not have the native PITCH-dial.
Vibed can only be pitched inside a few semitones, or whole octaves
Whole octaves is with the button-matrix low left, marked Octave, and covers .-2..7 octaves.
Fine pitching is with the Detune dial, but only few semitones

Hi, again. For the Vibed instrument, I have done what you said and put it to these settings: Attack is set to 2. Decay is set to 1. Hold is dropped down to 0. It's starting to get close to the sound in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ql6Hngg1zc) but feels not exactly it. I'll probably mess around with them some more later.

What I do need to figure out is how do I add the "twang" you can hear in the video linked above. I think there is an effect that could help but unsure what to use. Do you have a recommendation?

That is emulated with resonance. For that to work you need to add a filter. If you like most of the sound to be in treble-area, use a high-pass.
If you want a bassy sound use a low-pass, or you can try a band-pass that allow you to cut both-ends, wheras a notch-filter will filter out a narrow section. Experiment, and remember that Resonance has its own tab where you can finetune both the Envelope and strength of the effect.

Gotten back into fiddling with Vibed and still stuck. No matter what I fiddle around with in it, it still gives the same bassy sound when I play the same key. I even change the filter but still get the same sound with still no change. Am I doing something wrong?

LMMS-presets are just XML-code, so you can open the preset you have made in note-pad, and paste that XML-code here inside code-tags, then we can give it a look and suggest some changes.

Its not Vibe's code -that is in compiled machine-code and not readable. It is the preset that you have made. that is in XML.
You have saved the preset -right??
-Then You find it in your own files in Document/ lmms/ presets/ vibe
Just point at it and right-click, then choose "open with" and make sure you do not choose "Always use".
From the list select Notepad, and the XLM code opens in notepad.
Select all, then paste the text in this topic.
