How do I go about saving the preset as well? I only know how to save projects on LMMS, and I will send you the text when I know how.

All LMMS instrument UI has a button that will save the settings of all dials and selectors. That is how all the factory-presets, that you can find in sidebar: My-presets has been created. Just as we have made these presets you can make and keep your own presets that You like, so You can use them in other projects!
The button has the same icon on all LMMS-instrument-UI, with the text "SAVE"
Here it is on the zasfx-instrument:

It is recommended that you save presets in the correct folders, so dont save a Vibe-preset in 3OC' folder, that will be confusing.
Afair i also demonstrate this in Rookie-guide : p

Yes, that is the XML, but i cant see that you have made any changes to the default settings at all??
You send me the factory-preset : )
Not the one you attempted to make -But nvm. The soundfont in the link has several Japanese instruments, also a Shamisen http://www.schristiancollins.com/generaluser.php
To use it, place it into the folder you have chosen for Soundfonts and load it into SF2-player. It is in the default Bank, and is simply named Shamisen. It is somewhat low in amplitude, so maybe amplify it a bit.
Do you like that

Okay, that is weird. I did exactly as you said: After getting the changed settings in the "Envelope, filter & LFO", I clicked the save button that you shared in the picture. I then opened up the file with Notepad before copying the whole thing. I have no idea why the changes didn't show in the file. Am I doing something incorrectly when trying to save the changes to "RESO"? The saved preset should have the changes to that area, right?

Also, I have downloaded and setup General User some months back. I have also tried both instruments, but with how short the samples are in it, that's why I wanted to try mimicking the actual strings using Vibed.

The changes should have been saved. Idk what went wrong, but there are no changes, and no filters are invoked, and there are no changes to envelopes at all.
Did you watch the video on basic instrument-build:

Shortness is unfortunately an issue in SF2, because there is no envelope, ofcause making the instrument louder will also extend the duration of the fade-out. You want the duration to be as long as in the demo-video -Right?
Building the sound in one instrument will be difficult, because a Shamisen sound depend on 2 distinct waveforms, first there is the plug-sound with the 'comb'-tool, and then a distorted string expression, on top of that there are a multitude of overtones. If any instrument-generator should emulate that complex waveform, it could be zasfx, where different waveforms can be layered. There are some VST' with Japanese instrument sounds, but they are inferior to the sound in SF2, witch i actually think sounds very traditional-Japanese : p
Perhaps some comb-filter trick can extend the sample..

I have not seen this video, but I will watch it tomorrow when I am not busy with stuff. And here is the strange thing: I did load the preset waiting for your response, and when I get to where I changed the settings for it, I can find the changes. This makes me wonder if I changed the wrong settings in Vibed.
