Help with automation

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!

I'm trying to get an acoustic bass to work realistically in LMMS, and one difficulty has been connecting the automation volume to each little point I've drawn in the SoundFont. I have to do this to get rid of the attack that makes a horrible sound at the beginning of the bass (since envelopes don't work here).I wanted to know if there's a way to cut just one attack from the beginning of a note and then repeat it more easily, or am I forced to do this at the beginning of each note? This is annoying because I have to keep comparing the MIDI graph with the automation graph to see where each attack starts and then find the corresponding location on the automation graph. Can someone answer me? Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately with Soundfonts you cant set an envelope, and that would be needed for the functionality you are looking for. But why do you want to use a Soundfont for this?
You could either find an acoustic bass VST2 or perhaps build one yourself in ZynAddSubFX, witch is a very good generator. There is also the option to find a different SF-player that has an envelope.

ZynAddSubFX! You've really piqued my interest now, I should learn how to use it. Do you have any initial ideas for me to start exploring ZynAddSubFX? Because I know it pushes LMMS to its technical limits.

ZASFX is not pushing LMMS, it is quite CPU lean, so you can use many ZASFX instances in a project.
I have made a playlist with both beginner tips, and some more advanced. You find them here:
