How does one make Trance pluck sounds/notes in LMMS

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!

I put a reply and link to your question, in this topic, that you made djkingpin: How do I keep from being off-key?
Enjoy! :D
Short version: Make a supersaw (with maybe a lowpass on it, your choice, maybe a quarter resonance), put attack to 0, sustain to 0, release to 0 and play with short decay lengths until you got what you want.
Add chorus, reverb and echo for extra awesomeness.

If you need a longer, more detailed version, I can provide, just ask.

Yeah! I want a longer detailed version. Thanks for the short version too. I'll reply as soon as you post again. :D

Oops, didn't see your other post....
Wooah!! :o Cool!!

But shouldn't you have posted it on this topic https://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/lmms ... f=15&t=649? Even though the conversation topic changed from "Wish List 4 oscillator" to a Zynaddsubfx topic. He! He!
Sorry for confusing you with Pluck note conversations, in two different topics. This one was for Triple Oscillator. I should Have Mentioned it from the start. My bad. :?
Wait.................................no, it's good that you posted it here. Thanks.

You can do exactly the same thing with 3xOsc. All three oscs on saw wave, put all the fine detuning knobs to ~15%, and in the second tab put attack=0, sustain=0, release=0 and play with short decay lengths. Then go in the effects tab and add in chorus/reverb/echo/equalizer etc.
Thanks orpheon7. I made a pluck sound in Zynaddsubfx yesterday. It came out sounding exactly, how I wanted it. And I didn't save it. :?
Then later in the day, when I tried to do it over, it didn't come out the same way. :( I guess I should have saved the original file, and used it as reference. My bad. He! He!
I think I probably missed out something. Sometimes when something has too many instructions, or windows, it tends to get confusing.
But Zynaddsubfx, is a very fascinating plug in. I was surprised to see it had more shape waves eg. sine wave, Triangle etc. than the Triple oscillator. And other Plug ins in Lmms. Neat. :)

Actually, you don't just have 12 different wave shapes, in that same window you can also do some waveshaping, harmonic editing, filter it directly etc... before even hitting it through an FM or so.
And even once you know all of ADDsynth, that's just ADDsynth, the other two are (almost) as powerful by themselves.

And then you notice that the entire thing is one instrument, and by clicking an arrow on the ZASF first window you can switch instrument, and have at least 8 playing at the same time.

It's a gigantic thing.

That's a really really, good way of putting it orpheon7.

Yep. That word describes it best.
It is really an amazing vst plugin.
It is so amazingly gigantic, I sometimes don't know, where to start. Lol! :D
There is so much you could do with this vst plugin, and so many rare yet unique sounds, that you could make.
It's a rare jewel.
Lmms is blessed to have this plugin.

PS: I know this is an old topic. But I couldn't resist posting.
I really enjoyed this conversation/post. 8-)
Glad to find it again, after so long.
