random pops of static in my song

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
so i recently got lmms 1.1.0 a few days ago and whenever i played my old songs (from version 0.4.15) i hear random pops of static through my earbuds. At first i thought it was my earbuds but when i listened to some of the covers and other songs from CapDan, and they were just fine. I dont know what to do with this but i know for sure my earbuds are working just fine. so if anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated! :)
please post your:
*OS
*lmms vers
*lmms sound device chosen
*if relevant, demo mmp
*perhaps a sound-file

wild gues on no foundation : .. you have overshoots and red visualization curves?
Use a limiter or lower resonance
oh yeah srry about that. I have:
windows 7
Lmms 1.0.93.0 (32 bit)
The audio interface is in SDL but I have no device
FirstOfficialSong-01.mmpz

(12.32 KiB) Downloaded 778 times

You should upgrade lmms to 1.1
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... -win32.exe
You have the correct device
I will look at your file and come back to you

--------back :)

I get no artefacts on 1.1

But, There are 2 things

-the Fnequalizer - I dont have it :p, so if you have some artefacts in your version, try to disable this vst -Did it come from that?

Then You set your Master at 116%
That i would not recommend. Master is best set at most to 100. In fact it is a good rule of thumb, to set Mastern lower. 75- 85%
That gives you some sc. headroom, to ballance different komponents up to the master, and even a little extra for post-production-stuff (like compressing)
So try a lower master and reset the channels

Neat hiphop beat btw :)
thanks man i will try that out :)

Did you make heavy use of Automations? There's a bug since we switched to Logarithm knobs... here's the original bug report:
I had made a song with the previous version. After loading it in lmms, I had issues with two automation tracks. The sound was distorted. Redoing those automation tracks worked for me.
On the lmms forum however there is a topic with the same title as this one.
Some one is having an issue with the calf filter.

If you think it may be related, you can follow the bug report here:

https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/1642
Secondly if the project uses VST effects, we may have a new issue that is not yet in our tracker. If so, please file it here:

Hello!

I am currently having some success using the Repair tool in Audacity. Import your WAV into it and watch the waveform and listen for artifacts--you can usually see the clicks and pops as sudden spikes in the waves. Then highlight, zoom in, find the funky area that doesn't look like the rest (keep in mind it has to be a VERY small bit), highlight again, then go to EFFECTS>Repair. I've managed to completely erase some and make others barely noticeable. Tedious, but hey, it works! Let me know if this helps!
