When i was gonna save, i went to task manager to close ZynAddSubFX
Definitely
never ever do that !
(because most of the time the damn thing wont close normally),
That is then one of the things we need to figure out
and i must've disabled all of the voices of my instrument accidentaly when i closed it.
Of cause you lost your 'voice' -You lost the whole dll! You deliberately shut it down!
I did not notice this however, so i saved.
ok..
This means that the backup file wont do any good,
No the xyz
.BAK will have the penultimate context, so if you did save earlier, the .bak will be your best option
Is there a way to open previous versions of a saved LMMS project?
Only the .bak, and ofcause any , if you had chosen to make your project with version-control, but your post shows me that you have not done that.
The only chance you have is to search the lmms-installation for at file named
recover.mmp
OBS!!!
DO NOT open lmms!!!
Use your file-browser, and search for that file. default it should be in the same folder, of your
lmms.exe
But search the disk for the file!
RENAME it if you find it!
It MUST be renamed BEFORE you attempt to open lmms! -because of a bug!
After you have renamed it, you can doubleclik it and open it in lmms, it will contain some data, and if you are lucky, also you zasfx-instrument.
With neither a .bak, or a recover.mmp, there is no possibilities to rescue anything, im afraid
But what is that issue you have with zasfx?
please post your:
* OS (+service-pack-version)
* lmms version
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
* lmms sound device chosen
* a screenshots of error-state
And i can see that you are new here, so-
