How To Control Piano Roll?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
How to control which piano roll opens? I mean for which track? I have eight tracks and the only piano roll I can get open is for the last one.

And how get them to sound? I set it playing and there's no sound.

But set the song playing with all tracks muted except that one and it sounds fine.

Should I be using the piano roll much or is the song editor the way to go?

I'm mainly (right now) just inputting from a keyboard.

edit: ah... got half of it figured. just double click on the track in the song editor and it'll open in place of whatever was there before. so that's okay.

and maybe i've got the sound figured, too. maybe it's just a glitch on my machine or concerned with my OS (win10). because messing around sometimes it seems to work and sometimes it doesn't.. without me doing anything different.

i'm thinking basically there's nothing special to do? open a piano roll and play it and it should sound, right? simple as that? and there's nothing to do if it doesn't except try again?
If you access the piano-roll via the toolbar, the piano-roll that appears contains the last score you worked on.

To access the piano-roll of any score, as you noticed, you have to double-click on the block representing that score (in the BBEditior or in the Song Editor).

Indeed, in the piano-roll, when you press play, sometimes there is no sound. I think it's linked to the solo mode. I do not know more about that.
Thanks for that. Just as I thought.

I notice only 5 users online at this moment and the most users ever was only 131 !

Doesn't sound like much to me considering how popular music is in the world and what a brilliant programme this is.

Recently, there was an Lmms music competition, called Best of Lmms.
So most likely, alot of Lmms users, are taking a long break, after taking part in that competition. 8-)

Yeah, I agree, it is an awesome programme. :)

And if I haven't said it already,....welcome to the forums abrogard. :)
Yes, there is not much movement on the forum. But it depends on us 8-)

Concerning the annual competition The Best of LMMS: https://lmms.io/competitions/
Yep, thanks guys for the welcome and the link to the competition....

I'll enjoy listening and who knows... one day I might even contribute a bit..... :)
