loopback point

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
im trying to make a guitar sample loop when i extend the bar in piano editor, but since it plays from the beginning when i simply loop it i used the loopback point knob to try make it loop from the center of the sample instead. it works, but every time it loops theres an annoying, almost 'popping' sound. is this my fault? how can i fix it?

IF i understand..
You have made a guitar-composition in BEAT&BASS-editor ! -And when you extend the representative-block in song-editor, it does not loop cleanly.
Is that correct?

My guess is that you may have placed your looppoint in the middle of a note (perhaps the looppoints are 'off-snapped', try to magnify the pianoroll-score, and see if the loop is on-snapped to a natual divider)
The reason is that is a sound starts without a initial phase (attack) there will be a Pop. This is also very inportant to know, when you cut or section any soundfile.
I have illustrated this problem here:Image
The 'safe' cut-points are the dark-blue spots. Outside those you will have a pop.
Your specific issue, is a loop-point in the middle (or inside) of a note.

Not really, its more an individual sound which i used in the piano editor to make a loop, but yes, when i extended the 'representative block' then at first it did not loop at all, so i ticked off the loop button and changed the loop point. It is in the middle of the note but otherwise it would just replay the note from the beginning. The problem is that when i do that it doesnt loop 'cleanly' and the resulting note sounds awful.

Maybe this : activate the volume envelope (ENV > VOLUME > AMT=1) with:
- ATT= a value close to 0
- HOLD=0
- DEC=0
- SUST=1
- REL= a value close to 0
