Concert Mode

LMMS is a powerful tool for music creation with many presets and samples, but I believe its power will be very useful in live performance or concert. For example while the band is playing, the drummer using his Launchpad(MIDI) can trigger the ‘Song-Editor’ to play along with them as backing track.
Here are my suggestions: (Live concert setup in mind)

1. Song-Editor MIDI: The ‘Song-Editor’ can be triggered to play, pause, and stop using MIDI (so there is no need for the performer to awkwardly click the play button on a laptop).

2. Track Sections(Like Ableton Live): Tracks in ‘Song-Editor’ can have or be divided into sections ex. verse 1, chorus, bridge, end, or custom sections, these allows the live performer to jump to specific parts of the song while performing live along with LMMS. (Triggered by MIDI controller).

2.a. Much better to make LMMS wait for the current section to finish before executing the detected trigger to the next section. For example, while the band is playing chorus, the performer can trigger the verse 1 but LMMS will wait to finish the chorus in song editor before jumping back to verse 1 (to prevent bad timing of the performer in triggering)

3. Lineup or Playlist: Allows the performer to proceed to the next song or ‘Song-Editor’ for the next song (triggered by MIDI controller)

With Concert Mode or Live mode, the band can play live with LMMS as backing track in song editor; this will make their sound big and fill the missing sound. If the band have four members, with LMMS as backing track it’s like having a fifth or sixth member of the band, plus the keyboardist and a drummer with a Launchpad connected via MIDI to LMMS making electronic sound, Imagine how LMMS can be powerful.

PS: Please also add some keyboard shortcut ;)
And add custom note mapping for controlling the LMMS using notes xD
