so i installed the app but i cant firgure out how to get where i can open the app?

LMMS is not different from other programs.
If you installed the windows version, you will have a shortcut-button on your desktop:
You will also find a link in "All Programs" just as you do with any other App.
Besides that, since you are new in Forum
