Vestige Failing to load VST: "Missing libwinpthread-1.dll"

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
For one of the songs I'm currently working on, I'm using a VST called Arminator - an emulated Yamaha CS-80 - for synth effects. It was working quite well up until recently when I updated Windows. Now when I try to load the project, I get the following error message:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=11sx_Q ... C-gCU3h9SO

This error is preventing Vestige from loading Arminator even after I try to load the plugin manually.

I already upgraded from the 1.2.0-rc7 beta to the full release of 1.2.0, and the error still occurs, so I did some digging around and found that the allegedly missing file is still present in LMMS's program files. This is making me wonder if there is a specific folder that said file should be in and it isn't for some reason. Until I can find a way to solve this issue, I can't properly make the final adjustments to the song or export it.

That is not the first time i have heard that a win-update mess something up. The thing here, you already know why you got this trouble: You updated windows!
Its one of my 'favorite' nag-points, updates that is not to users benefit, but is enforced anywitch.
Im rather sure the problem is that your VST is really old. There is a chance that you can run LMMS in one of the compatibility modes, and i think you should try that, maybe the win-update will be neglected, and that could (maybe) allow you to run the blocked dll, but i am not optimistic.
Your next option is to contact microsoft and explain, that an update blocks for a legit dll, but if that will lead to anything..?
