LMMS History?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Hello guys, I'm currently working on a DAW Evaluation Project and I want to know the exact date LMMS was first released. Wikipedia says 2004, but I searched through LMMS release tags and I found that version 0.0.1 was released on September 22nd, 2005. I'm not sure if version 0.0.1 is actually the first release since Wiki has 2004 for the first. Any help please?

Afaik -Tobias Döerfel started his work on a sequencer for Linux in ~2004, but the first actual public-available release 0.0.1 is out in 2005.
