Songs losing/not saving some piano roll sections

In several of my recent projects I have noticed missing piano roll sections after saving and then reopening the project file. This has led to lost work, pretty frustrating. At first I thought it was human error on my part, so I ignored it, but after it kept happening I changed my workflow to confirm it. I cloned every track so I could watch the phenomenon and determine if it was real while lowering my chance of losing work. Sure enough, multiple sections were missing from my most recent project upon reloading it. It seems to be random. I have used multiple computers and the result has been the same.

I have LMMS installed and usually run it from a USB 3.1 flash drive so that I can take it with me wherever I go and work on it in my free time (I'm often travelling). I realize that data corruption on the flash drive might be to blame here, but I wanted to see if this problem has been happening to anyone else before attempting to replace it as a fix.

Have they gone missing in piano-roll?
No its in song-editor -right?
And then -yes. It can happen to blocks in song-editor if they are copied!
So far, there is no explanation to this very randomly occurring bug, but i can tell you how to avoid it!
Every time you make a copy of an other block, then push it -or drag it just one bar, if it can move, then it exists, If not, its a phantom.
I managed to catch the behaviour on an old phone, It is important if your bug is different.

Yes, it's exactly as you describe. The section will be missing from the song editor, not the piano roll itself.
I haven't had an entire instrument disappear yet, although that sounds ghastly. Is this also possibly due to copying (via the clone track feature)?

Sort of glad that I'm not the only one. I guess until there is a fix in I will have to be very vigilant. Thank you for the answer, musikbear, you are a hero of the people!
