HOWTO: installing 3rd Party vst effects plugins

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I've got several third party vst effects I'd like to use, but I can not get them to show up in the effects dialog box that pops up when trying to add an effect to and effects chain. I've checked my vst folder destination, I have the vst effects extracted to the root of that folder, and I've restarted lmms. One example, that I've seen others use, but have failed to make work for my self, is EasyQ...

I'm using the latest version of LMMS and I'm working on a Windows7 system.
Any suggestions?
Did you check the VST database in the wiki if it was compatible? yes/no
If yes, do you have 32-bit or 64-bit LMMS? 32-bit or 64-bit Win7?
Also, there might be 2 VST folders in your system, a 32-bit and 64-bit folder, did you check that?
Did you use VeSTige on the left hand panel on the bottom of the list of the native instruments?
Drag it to your current open project
From there you have to click the folder to load the VST you wish to use.

I hope this helps..
I had the .dll files in a folder at c:/programfiles/vst/. What I did was take the .dll files and extracted them to the /lmms/plugins/ folder and restarted lmms and now they are working. So, if anyone stumbles upon this thread later, I'd say: make sure that the vst files are in that folder. Thanks for the reply, it set me in the right direction!
Don't mention it =U
