I made LMMS 1.2.2 work with WINE 5.13 together and included some free working VST Plugins from "https://vst4free.com/".
No more WINE regressions with my VST Plugins. I made this for myself but i want to share it because i think it's a cool project.
It is portable and should run on every modern Linux 64bit Distro. No installation required.

Download this file:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/90z46dx67 ... r.bz2/file ~259MB
Unzip to a directory and read the README.TXT file.

Important Note:
In order to use the VST Plugins you have to alter the settings in LMMS, change "PLUGIN EMBEDDING" to "No embedding".
Otherwise the Plugins won't display correct.

I did not include any instruments because this would be a very large archive then.
You can download additional Plugins here (keep in mind 32bit plugins won't work):
https://myvst.com/
https://vst4free.com/

Many VSTs will work thanks to WINE 5.13.

I tested this with Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu-Studio 19.10 and Ubuntu-Mate 19.10.

Have fun,

lmms 1.2.2 AppImage Off vers. works out of the box, with WINE
I cant see any reason for using yurs?
What does your distro offer, that off. version of 1.2.2 for LINUX
https://lmms.io/download/#linux
does not have?
For everyone that reads the post:
If you use our official version and install in this manner:
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=In ... l_on_Linux
-with WINE, Then you do have the supported and secure version of 1.2.2
The official AppImage is the only one we recommend!

You won't have any regressions with VST's and WINE. It just works.
I don't force anyone to download my LMMS+WINE version.

In case you feel you have made a better WINE solution than the one in official-linux, i would like you to read
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/wiki/Contr ... ep-by-Step
Follow the guide, and make your own repo on gitHub, and release a Pull-request, to get the solution included in LMMS.
You would infact need to do either so or publish the entire codebase together with your binaries, in order to obey to the GPL2 licence -All added features must be available as open source, in case a binary release is based on LMMS-source.
We also very much always looking for new coders!
You would be very welcome to join the project! (Also explained in link)
