VST effects not showing in fx mixer

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hey, smart people. I'm having trouble, as the title suggests, locating VST effects that I've downloaded in my fx mixer. In this case I've got the MDA VST plugins and effects series, including Talkbox. When I click "add effect" it only displays the default list of standard effects. I can, however, see all of the MDA stuff in VeSTige, though, effects don't do a whole lot in VeSTige. I thought maybe I have to point LMMS to the fx directory in settings but there's only the option for VST plugins, so that's where everything is at.

What am I doing wrong?
Thx in advance
I think your issue is related to this topic about LMMS not supporting subfolders:

If this is the issue, you can try Symlink Creator or a similar program to make LMMS locate your VST effects properly:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/symlink-creator/
It works fine for me (Win 7/Win8.1, LMMS 1.1.3). I have all the effects VST .dlls in the directory pointed to by the VST Plugins setting and they all show up in the Add Effect list (including all the instruments, not just the effects, but that's not a problem).

yop, thats the correct way
@ dopeskwyd - You have your effects in a / several subfolders?
I believe the next release will address this as calRo also pointed out
Right now all vst-effect must go in directly in the directory pointed to by the VST Plugins setting, and that will course instruments to appear in fx browsing :/
But this will change
Turns out none of my VST's were working. Just didn't notice because I've only been trying to troubleshoot the effects. Reinstalling......stay tuned
Update. All fixed. Not sure what was wrong but a reinstall fixed it all. Strange, never had any problems whatsoever. THE GHOSTS!!!!
Great! Looking forward to your tracks.

Me too! lol I need to find time to actually finish a project. Been working on several for as many years in equally as many different DAW's. Finally settled in with LMMS and Caustic for some fiddling around on the tab. I speak very highly of Caustic, btw. Looks like a toy; performs like a full on beast

Do you have the link to caustic? I would like to take a look at it. :D
Search for Single Cell Software. It's developed officially for mobile platforms for a charge but they've ported it to Windows in an unsupported free version. You can work between platforms via FTP server. Kind of limited but incredibly detailed, especially for a mobile app
