Drum Samples sound different

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
So, I wanted to create some decent drum samples in LMMS, what I also did (imo) and made a simple drum loop. Then I exported it, but it sounded much worse, when I had exported it. This happened a bunch of times, but only when I'm trying to create drums.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to fix it? Thanks in advance!
Hi -when you say 'different' what is it?
could you make 2 recordings, one with the playback in good quality, and one with the bad export
Just upload on net, or if you can attach here (propl. to big though)
The best guess right now, would be that you have some excessive export settings
Dizz our primary coder, has made an excellent tutorial for exporting, i will see if i can find it for you.
Well, exported it sounded like that: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xaumqd0haia21 ... t.ogg?dl=0 but in LMMS it actually sounded actually pretty nice. Should I maybe export the drum stuff in high quality .wav? I can't test it, because I've been so frustrated about the sound that I din't keep the project file.

Thanks for your awnser anyway!

one thing that i can tell you, is that you have used ogg.forbis as export-format. Just like mp3, ogg is a compression-format, and you wont have the same quality, as in replay. You need to export to the loss-less Wave-format, if you want to preserve full quality.
Well, the other stuff I export in .ogg sound normal, but okay, thanks!
That's because, with certain sounds we don't notice what is lost by the compression.

I always use mp3 at 320kbps, the highest possible quality setting for an mp3.
But with good enough speaker or a good headphone you will hear, when you rip a cd to mp3, that some of the dynamics gets lost.
Well, okay, thank you!
