How to install LMMS as a Linux app?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
(Ok, I guess it's not a desktop since I'm using a Chromebook, but that's not the point.)

I have executed an LMMS Appimage via the terminal, but it still isn't an app on my Chromebook, and it closes when I close the terminal. I know that Appimages aren't very cooperative with desktops, but I can't just run it from my terminal every time I use LMMS.
The normal way to start the appimage on Linux is to double click the apimage file.

If I want to start it from my desktop, I need to make a shortcut to the appimage file, or put the appimage file on my desktop.

An appimage file does not install LMMS.

The easy way for me to have LMMS installed is through my package manager. (openSUSE)
If I how ever then have a problem with LMMS, I first need to talk to my openSUSE package builder, not the LMMS devs.

It might matter its a chomebook, what is you operating system ? DId you install Linux on it ?

A third option is to compile LMMS yourself, but that is far from easy. I know because I tried.
