EDIT: As Monospace just let me know you can indeed upload project files, which I did not know about until now. So here's the project file as well on the LMMS Sharing Platform: https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=show&file=19612

I have always been meaning to get involved join a forum for some music software again, so this is kind of my first tentative step towards the LMMS forums here.

Anyway, I always wanted to get to know the ZynAddSubFX in LMMS better and figured Rumbling HWY (from SA2) would be a simple but also fun enough track to play around with. I'm sure with more experience you can do way more impressive work with that thing, but I'm still learning. I also thought since most of the track was already made with LMMS' internal instruments I would keep it that way by using the "Kicker" for all drums. Maybe not the best choice in retrospect.
Introducing you to the LSP, or the LMMS.io sharing platform, where you can directly upload project files and share them. https://lmms.io/lsp/
Note though that signing up can be a harrowing and often problematic process. Watch out for the signup captcha, make sure you get your capital letters right.

Thanks for the quick reply, I didn't about that and will try it out.

Admittedly I could have been more original with it. But it's that thing when you've heard a specific recording so many times everything else just immediately sounds wrong to you unless you really, really commit to rethinking it. And of course in this case my focus was on the technical aspects of working with the SZynAddSubFX and not so much composition.

Either way, cool that you recognized it. I would assume you've played the game(s)? Any of these being true would be a first time experience for me. But I do realize that "Rumbling HWY" seems to have become quite a classic in certain circles - as well as the games of course. Possibly a generation thing.

Yeah, I have played both SA1 and 2, back when both games were released. But I haven't beaten SA2 two yet. And yeah, that track is an absolute classic, especially for those of us who were kids back then.

That sounds awesome. Unfortunately I'm a bit too young to have experienced that. But I had kind of a replacement with emulators and roms from ... questionable places. I eventually beat all of the classic games (which I find quite impressive, looking back on it), but never really comitted to finishing the Adventure titles until recently. I guess when I played Sky Deck with Tails for once on SA1 and the first Kuckles stage in 2 I just kind of gave up. Nowadays I find they hold up really well in terms of controls and general glitchiness compared to other titles.

Okay, I'm getting of topic really fast, sorry. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I've always really liked these old games, especially their soundtracks. And it's pretty cool someone else knows about them, which is not really something I've ever experienced in my own social circles. Okay, back to the music.
