piano-roll got muted

that I use.
In general it works OK but in one of my projects piano-roll for an instrument got muted and does not play sound when I press play button.
Strangely, when I hit the notes in the same piano-roll they sound OK yet I cannot play it with the space-bar.
What is amiss?

Muting can occur in song-editor in a quite weird way (yet to be fully investigated:p
but -What happens if you

• click on one of the notes in piano-roll? Any sound then?

?

• select all notes and move them -try one bar

?

if this diddent do it..

in my OP I mentioned the notes in self-muted piano-roll respond to clicking OK, maybe I did not express it clear enough though. moving all the notes for a beat or two (that you suggested) did not work.
now, I upload the project file and while preparing it I noticed something not mentioned in tutorials. when in Song Editor I mute bassline tracks (called agogo and agogo2) piano-roll of the bass01.ogg track gets muted too! play with mute-unmute buttons of traks and see it yourself.
I don't think lmms developers planned such a behavior, it's too weird.

You are absolutely right - that 'behavior' is not intended, it is however known :p
I believe the reason has been found, and a fix was made - (however ..some other 'bahavior' has appeared, and your post actually made me think .. there could be a connection!
I will look into that
But if if understood you, then you have solved this on your own, for that project? - Thats great :)

yes, now I know that having muted more than 1 bassline tracks in song editor may conduct to muting piano-roll for some instruments (not all though).
with this knowledge under my belt I can go on with my project. thank you
