Impulse convolver

How do I use the built in impulse convolver? When I try to use it, it always comes out in the right ear with some weird effect. Can't figure it out.
I'm on windows so no gui for me.

These are controlled by the ID you select, where each ID represents a different speaker recording to simulate a specific voice type. If you’re hitting that 'right-ear-only' glitch, the best fix is the Calf Haas Stereo Enhancer LADSPA. Just drop the Side Gain to the bottom, set the Middle Source to 1, and keep the Balance at 0. That should get the audio back into both ears!
