Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!

hi all !

Is it possible to have both versions installed at the same time without creating a conflict?

Preferably on Linux

Thanks !

I altered your topic and we will have to wait for a LINUX wizard for this. I dont know

Installed no, but you can use Appimage for one or both versions. The config file will be shared, but this is the cleanest option.

Should be fine, but if you run into issues, you may need to move your ~/.lmmsrc.xml file. Note that we don't currently offer Linux "installers" at this time, so what I assume is happening is you're running two different versions of the LMMS AppImage.

Note, if you're running any type of appimage daemon, your file associations and launcher shortcuts might get confused.

Future versions of LMMS will use separate names and config files for stable and beta/alpha/nightly releases so these issues should get much better over time.
