I am making a soundfont in polyphone, and i want to add chorus support for LMMS, but i don't know which controllers LMMS uses to control this. So, how do i add chorus support to my soundfont to be used in LMMS? i know i could just add a chorus effect on the effects rack, but i am so curious to get the to the bottom of this.
Thanks.
The SF2 player is not a native LMMS-instrument. You can see that it does not support envelop, LFO or native filters. The whole tab for this is missing. So LMMS does not implement Chorus in SF2, infact LMMS-native instruments does not support Chorus at all, but rely on LADSPA or other types of effect plugins on the FX-tab. Instead Chorus in SF2 is supported directly by the default MIDI, that is standard on all soundcards. Atm LMMS does alas not support all the MIDI-card standard. That is a polite way to say that our SF2 support is mediocre -at best.. But You should be able to get Chorus through the soundcard-std. Our SF2 player does have a dial for that, and if polyPhone support it, Chorus should be natively possible with:

the Chorus button and modulate it with the dials you can see in the picture.
