LMMS Audio Issue

Hey LMMS forums,

I have currently been having trouble uploading my .WAV files to LMMS. Every time i try to upload the .WAV file to LMMS it gives me a Setup Incomplete error, and I don't know what to do. The file is correct from what i've researched, but it keeps giving me the error. I could use all the help you guys can give! Thanks!

What operating system ? What LMMS version ?

Where exactly are you trying to "upload" it to and how ? Does the .wav file play normally in any other app like e.g. Audacity ?

Hello Steve,

I'm currently using Windows 7 64 Bit. Using LMMS version 1.1.3. When I open the .WAV file it opens it in windows media player, or sometimes even Vegas Pro. And I go to "Settings" in LMMS and go to "audio" and I try to set it up and it tells me that changes wont be made until I restart the program, so I restart the program then it reverts back to what it was. I'm very confused, do I need more software?

To use a .wav file in LMMS you need to load it either to a Sample Track (in the Song Editor) or use the AFP (AudioFileProcessor from Instruments). Have a read of the LMMS wiki "Working with samples" https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wo ... th_Samples

The rest of that Wiki is worth a read too.

The Audio settings are just to tell LMMS what device to use for the OUTPUT sound....for Win7 it should normally be left at SDL.
