hydrogen songs imported to lmms produce no sound

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi.
I'm trying to import songs from hydrogen drum machine to lmms but can not make them play anything.
I have tried all the different formats available for export in hydrogen, even midi (and installed and specified a default sf2 file), and tried through the audiofileprocessor too, but nothing works. Some don't play at all, some crash my system, and, those that play, either in the song- or beat+bassline editor, won't produce any sound.
I have tried in linux mint 17.2 and ubuntu studio 14.04.3.
I have read what little I could find, to no avail.
If someone knows how this should be done, or how it could be achieved, i should appreciate the information.
(bear in mind that I am an old man an therefore no longer know anything)
Love,
jyrki

edited for sound to audiofile processor.
Hi
Welcome to the community!
There is this topic http://lmms.io/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4542 also around H2 problems. ..dont know if that help, though.
I have not tried anything out of H2 in lmms, so im not really 'your man' -What i have done, is import all H2s sounds in lmms sample-library, and i simply use them as normal sound samples in lmms, but that is ofcause not a satisfactual 'solution' at all, in your project. Have you tried the exported midi-file in a midi-player, like Anvill-studio?
http://www.anvilstudio.com/ (free and useful :)
If it plays there, you could try to export it to midi0, and import that to you project.
Thank you for answering, musikbear.
Yes, I have read the post you linked to, and, to be honest, not quite understood it. I saw a mute tutorial in youtube which helped a little.
Importing in .flac format through the audiofile processor into the song editor, I managed to get a short stub visible in pianoroll, which played a short part of the song, and by stretching it out, and carefully arranging looping back to start, managed to make it playable.
This, however is not a satisfactory solution. In addition there may be problems with my particular hardware, since after a while it crashed my system. It may be overheating.
Your suggestion is good, I copied (as root) the samples from hydrogen to lmms's sample folder and went from there. Pity though, as I know hydrogen well, we are old friends. But I am learning how to use lmms, and we will no doubt become friends, too. One can not gain new skills without giving something away.
The midi way I could not make to work, there is something wrong with the soundfontfile I have installed, apparently.

Problem solved in an unforeseen way I guess.
