SoundFont, MIDI-import, TX16Wx

new to LMMS, and fairly unexperienced in music on computers.

On OsX Lion, MacBook I installed LMMS. After starting the software I imported a MIDI-file. I got the message that I have to load a SoundFont2-Player-Plugin.

Can anybody tell me how to do this? Searching the internet I got a lot of results but none for download of "SondFont2-Player-Plugin".

First: What is that kind of plug-in? Is it a file (program) which is dependent on the operating system? How can I implement it to LMMS?

Finally: I want to use the sound sampler TX16W to the LMMS. I did a successful installation, at least the installation program made me believe this. Looking into all the menus of LMMS I did not find any hint for loading or activating this sampler. Also I did not find anything about SoundFont2-Player-Plugin.

Also I did not find any location on the hard-disk for a possible installation of the sampler TX16Wx.

If things seem to be very unnormal, I could believe that my computer has a problem.

You want / need a soundfile in which all 128 midi instrument are defined.

If you click settings and then the folder icon, you can see were lmms expects the file to be. (you can of course change this if you want)

I have no answer for you about that sampler.

The sampler question is more difficult, however calRo has used that sampler. I have not. You can find information here:
