Rights and infringement

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello, I am new to lmms but wish to use it for video game music. My question is this: if I create music can it be copyrighted and used in a application to be sold?
Thanks for your time :)
LMMS is just the tool used. If the music is your own creation and only uses internal instruments, samples etc then I believe you're fine.

OTOH if you use any samples or similar downloaded from the internet then it's your responsibility to check their license conditions. Not everything is royalty free or allows commercial use.

Steve told you all you need to know about general 'rights', and its wise to ask..
Lawyers are just as fun to tangle with as most of them are at parties....
It depends, if you use non-creative commons/non licensed samples then no, you'll be in big doo-doo if
somebody finds out. MAKE SURE YOUR DRUM SAMPLES AND SOUNDFONTS ARE
ROYALTY FREE! Musicradar has a great library of free samples and loops.
Also your melody has to be original too, but that's a given. You can't make a dubstep remix of a
Hans Zimmer piece or "Smooth Criminal" without the proper permission. But otherwise, you
can sell and share your songs to your heart's content.
